How Long Does A2P 10DLC Registration Take?

The messaging registration review is the long wait, and each rejection starts another one, so a clean first filing is the fastest path.

Updated . Fees and wording match what Out Nurture files.

A2P 10DLC registration takes three waits: the brand, the messaging registration review, and activating your phone numbers. The review is the long one: up to 5 business days for a standard use case. Every rejection starts the review again, so a clean first filing is the fastest path.

Step by step

Step How long What can slow it
Brand Vetting sometimes takes several days; after two days in review, ask support (Twilio) A name that doesn't match the EIN letter, or an EIN under 90 days old
Messaging registration Up to 5 business days for standard use cases (Twilio) Opt-in, policy page or sample problems; each fix is another review
Phone numbers Up to 24 hours after approval (Twilio, error 30035) Moving a number between registrations starts it over

What makes it slower

  • A rejection. Each one means fixing, resubmitting and waiting for a fresh review, which takes as long as the first (Twilio).
  • A new EIN. It can take 30 to 90 days to reach the databases carriers check (Twilio).

What makes it faster

  • File the brand with the legal name copied from your EIN letter.
  • Put the two opt-in checkboxes and both policy pages on your website before you file the messaging registration.
  • Read the sample texts and description against each other: same business, same purpose.

While you wait

Texts from a number that isn't registered yet don't arrive: they're blocked (Twilio, error 30034). Don't send to leads until the number is active.

Out Nurture files the registration for youIt checks your opt-in and policy pages before you pay, files the brand and messaging registration, and texts your leads once you're approved.
