A2P 10DLC Rejection Codes and How to Fix Each
When Twilio refuses a brand or a messaging registration, the rejection carries a five-digit error code. These are the codes we handle: most can be fixed and resubmitted, a few can't be resubmitted at all, and some only mean waiting on something else.
Updated . Fees and wording match what Out Nurture files.
Fix it and resubmit
Correct what the code names, then resubmit. A filing refused before carrier review is corrected in place. In Out Nurture, a messaging registration refused after carrier review is filed again as a new registration; what registration costs explains the fees.
- 30536
Your privacy policy link is missing, broken, or not publicly viewable (for example, behind a login). Provide a working public link and resubmit.
- 30544
Your consent screen doesn't say what kind of messages people are signing up for. State the purpose clearly (for example, appointment reminders or promotions) where you collect consent, then resubmit.
- 30545
Your consent screen doesn't say how often people will get messages. Add a frequency statement (for example, "message frequency varies" or "4 msgs/month"), then resubmit.
- 30549
Wherever you collect consent, add a clickable link to your terms and conditions so people can read them before they opt in. A mention of terms without a link to them isn't enough.
- 30550
Wherever you collect consent, add a clickable link to your privacy policy so people can see how their information is handled before they opt in.
- 30551
Your consent language talks about "communications" or "updates" in general but never says text messages or SMS specifically. Name the channel explicitly where you collect consent, then resubmit.
- 30552
Your proof of consent doesn't show the actual end user agreeing to receive messages. It needs to be something a customer sees and acts on themselves, not an internal form filled out on their behalf. Show the real customer-facing opt-in, then resubmit.
- 30556
Your opt-in bundles text message consent together with consent for email, phone calls, or another channel. Give text messaging its own, separate opt-in that isn't tied to agreeing to anything else, then resubmit.
- 30557
Your terms don't name your business or the messaging program. Add that, then resubmit.
- 30558
Your terms don't say how often subscribers will get messages. Add a frequency statement, then resubmit.
- 30559
Your terms don't describe what your messaging program actually sends. Add a plain description of the message types, then resubmit.
- 30560
Your terms don't give subscribers a way to reach support. Add a contact method (email, phone, or HELP keyword instructions), then resubmit.
- 30561
Your terms don't explain how to stop messages. Add opt-out instructions (for example, reply STOP), then resubmit.
- 30562
Your terms don't disclose that message and data rates may apply. Add that disclosure, then resubmit.
- 30563
Your terms are missing the standard line that carriers aren't responsible for delayed or undelivered messages. Add it, then resubmit.
- 30564
Your terms and privacy policy links exist, but they're buried in a dropdown, a pop-up, or somewhere far from where people actually opt in. Move both links so they're visible right next to the opt-in itself, then resubmit.
- 30568
Your consent screen doesn't name your business or brand. Add it where you collect consent, then resubmit.
- 30569
Your consent screen doesn't disclose that message and data rates may apply. Add that disclosure where you collect consent, then resubmit.
- 30570
Your consent screen doesn't tell people how to get help. Add support instructions (for example, "reply HELP for help"), then resubmit.
- 30701
One or more fields in this brand submission failed validation. Check for values that are too long, or a badly formatted phone number, email, or address. Fix the flagged fields and resubmit.
- 30702
Twilio lost track of this brand's record with the registry, usually because it went inactive. Check the brand's status and re-register it if needed.
- 30703
One of the details on this brand (phone number, tax ID, legal name, contact info, email, website, or stock symbol) is already registered elsewhere. Use unique values and resubmit.
- 30709
You described sending an opt-in confirmation message, but your submission doesn't show people actually being opted in before that message goes out. Make sure your sign-up flow genuinely enrolls someone first, then resubmit.
- 30713
The third-party vetting token submitted with this brand is invalid, expired, or doesn't match the brand's details. Get a fresh token from your vetting provider, make sure it's copied in full and unmodified, then resubmit.
- 30714
The registry rejected the third-party vetting token attached to this brand. Confirm with your vetting provider that the token is current and matches this brand exactly, then resubmit; contact support if your provider confirms it's valid.
- 30715
Sole-proprietor brands can't use a third-party vetting token. Remove the vetting token from this submission, or register under a different business type if you need one, then resubmit.
- 30790
Twilio hit an internal error processing this brand. Resubmit as-is. This can happen more than once before it needs a support ticket.
- 30791
Twilio hit a temporary system error on their end. Double-check your information is accurate and resubmit.
- 30792
Something went wrong on the registry's end while processing this brand. Not something you did. Resubmit as-is; contact support with your brand ID if it keeps failing.
- 30793
The identity documents linked to this brand submission couldn't be validated. They may not match each other, or, for a publicly traded company, the stock exchange you listed isn't one we support. Confirm the linked documents are correct and resubmit.
- 30794
The registry rejected this submission without giving a specific reason. Re-check every field against the registration requirements and resubmit; contact support if nothing looks wrong.
- 30795
The tax ID on file doesn't match the legal business name on your profile. Correct whichever one is wrong and resubmit.
- 30796
The business type or public-stock details on this brand don't match what the registry found. If this isn't a publicly traded company, correct the business type; if it is, make sure the stock ticker and exchange match your official filings, then resubmit.
- 30797
This brand is registered as a U.S. government entity, but that couldn't be confirmed. If that's not accurate, change the business type; if it is, make sure your legal name and address exactly match official government records, then resubmit.
- 30798
This brand is registered as a nonprofit, but its tax-exempt status couldn't be confirmed. Make sure your nonprofit details match your official records exactly, then resubmit. This only applies to U.S. nonprofits.
- 30799
The registry couldn't verify the business details on this brand. Double-check that your legal business name, address, and tax ID are complete, correctly formatted, and match official records, then resubmit.
- 30880
The reviewer didn't give a specific reason for this rejection. Re-check every field against the registration requirements, and contact support if nothing looks wrong before resubmitting.
- 30882
Your terms and conditions page didn't meet the requirements, or the link is missing. Make sure the page is public, names your business, describes your messaging program, discloses rates and message frequency, gives a way to reach support, explains how to opt out, links to your privacy policy, and states that carriers aren't responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.
- 30886
Your messaging registration's description doesn't clearly explain who's sending messages, to whom, and why. Rewrite it to match your actual use case and sample messages, then resubmit.
- 30887
Your opt-out instructions aren't clear enough. Explain how a recipient stops messages (for example, replying STOP) and make sure your sample messages show it, then resubmit.
- 30888
You marked this messaging registration as restricted to adults, but the reviewer couldn't find real age verification on your site or opt-in flow. Either add a genuine age gate before someone can opt in, or remove the age-restricted flag if it doesn't apply, then resubmit.
- 30892
One of your sample messages uses a public link-shortening service or an unencrypted (http://) link. Use your own branded domain with a secure (https://) link instead, then resubmit.
- 30893
Your sample messages don't clearly match the use case you selected, or don't include enough detail. Provide at least two realistic examples that reflect your actual message content and use case, then resubmit.
- 30894
The business details on this messaging registration don't match your approved brand. Make sure the messaging registration is filed under the correct brand and that the description matches your registered business, then resubmit.
- 30907
Your website doesn't match the rest of the registration: it belongs to another business, isn't live, or describes different products than your opt-in and example messages. Use the live website of the business you registered, make the business name, opt-in and examples tell the same story, then resubmit.
- 30908
Your privacy policy didn't meet the requirements, or the link is missing. Make sure the page is public, titled as a privacy policy, names your business, and states that you don't share opt-in or mobile messaging data with third parties for marketing purposes.
- 30909
The reviewer couldn't tell how people consent to receive your messages. Describe your full opt-in flow, and make sure your call-to-action includes everything required (purpose, frequency, rates, help, and opt-out), then resubmit.
- 30911
Two or more fields in this submission are worded the same way. Rewrite your description, message flow, and sample messages so each says something different and specific, then resubmit.
- 30913
Your opt-in asks for consent to marketing texts in the same checkbox as other messages, like appointment reminders or follow-ups. Carriers need marketing consent on its own: add a separate, unchecked checkbox for marketing and promotional texts to the form on your website, paste both checkbox sentences into your registration, then resubmit.
- 30916
Your declared use case, your description, and your sample messages don't tell a consistent story. Most often, this happens when a registration is filed as one thing (for example, reaching out to brand-new leads) but the description or samples read as something else (for example, following up with people you're already talking to). Pick the use case that actually matches what you send, rewrite the description and samples to match it, and if you genuinely do both, file them as separate messaging registrations, then resubmit.
- 30923
Your form makes agreeing to texts a condition of using your service, signing up or buying. Make the texting checkbox optional, so the form still submits without it, then resubmit.
- 30924
The consent wording people see when they opt in is missing something carriers require: what messages they'll get, how often, that message and data rates may apply, and how to stop. Put all of it next to the checkbox on your form, paste that wording into your registration, then resubmit.
- 30925
Your opt-in doesn't show people actively choosing to get texts: the texting checkbox is ticked in advance, missing, or folded into accepting your terms. Give texting its own checkbox that starts unchecked, separate from your terms and privacy policy, then resubmit.
- 30931
Your form doesn't let people say no to texts and still finish what they came to do. Make the texting checkbox optional and separate from required terms, then resubmit.
- 30932
Your privacy policy needs to explicitly say that mobile opt-in and messaging data are never shared with third parties for marketing. Add that statement to your policy, then resubmit.
- 30933
Add a link to your business's privacy policy before submitting. This is required on every messaging registration, even before it reaches carrier review.
- 30934
Add a link to your business's terms and conditions before submitting. This is required on every messaging registration, even before it reaches carrier review.
- 30963
One of your links uses a public link-shortening service. Replace it with a link on your own domain, then resubmit.
- 30964
One of your links uses an unencrypted (http://) address. Switch it to a secure (https://) address, then resubmit.
- 30971
The email address on file for your business contact couldn't be verified as belonging to your business. Use a company email address, or provide documentation linking a personal address to your business, then resubmit.
- 30972
The contact listed on this messaging registration couldn't be verified as someone authorized to act for your business. List someone who's actually authorized to register messaging on the business's behalf, then resubmit.

- 30962
